Together Women in partnership with Wakefield Council provide gender specific support for women at the point of arrest with a view to diverting them from the Criminal Justice System into support services to address identified vulnerabilities to improve health and well-being and reduce the risk of re-offending.

Liaison and Diversion is now embedded within the Leeds District and TW are looking to employ a Support Time Recovery practitioner further develop the female pathway in Leeds.

We are looking for individuals that are creative, proactive, passionate and committed to the needs of women. The duties require the post holder to carry out assessments in both custody and community settings, provide support for women to access services by mainstream and voluntary sector providers throughout the Leeds District, signposting and supporting vulnerable young people and adults to address inequalities which may lead a women coming into contact with the Criminal Justice System.

 

Partnership work with external agencies including the police, courts and other voluntary services is an essential part of this role. We require individuals who are enthusiastic, team players and enjoy a challenge.
