"I was referred to TWP after being arrested for shoplifting. I was depressed, really struggling to pay off my debts and couldn't find a job. TWP helped me gain some confidence and made me feel better about myself and my future. When I came to TWP I was given a mentor to talk to about things and to encourage me to attend my appointments and courses, when I didn't want to leave the house because I was feeling down. I grew up in care and spent time in prison and never really had someone who wanted me to do well. My mentor listened to me, made me see the good side of things and made sure I didn't give up on things. I attend TWP two times a week to access the groups and courses and to meet other women. I want to do hairdressing now and also want to become a mentor myself so I can help other women like me." - Jane, 28.
