TWP welcomes self-referrals as well as referrals from courts, police, probation, prisons or voluntary sector organisations. Any professional looking to access appropriate gender-specific support for vulnerable women can feel confident about referring to TWP.
We provide services for women who may be deemed ‘at risk of offending’ as well as for those already engaged in criminal justice processes. This includes: upon arrest, at court, remanded on bail, serving community sentences, remanded in custody or serving a custodial sentence and following discharge from custody.
TWP can be accessed on a voluntary basis or as part of a court requirement. We recognise that there are often barriers that may make it difficult for a woman to access services and as such, TWP uses creative and innovative ways to make the service safe, flexible and positive for women to access.
